Conserving Paper and Plastic
It is estimated that one third of the waste in the United States is packaging material. Because boxes for shipping must be sturdy, the maximum recycled content possible is 30%. For that reason we reuse boxes and packaging material whenever possible. They aren’t pretty but they are best for our planet.
Our packaging material such as peanuts and paper inserts are all reused and repurposed from various suppliers.
We take things a few steps further:
We have invested in good quality labels and bottles and there is no reason to throw them away after a single use. We sell many of our refills in pre-measured sealed pouches which can be opened and poured into these bottles. These pouches use 75% less plastic than a rigid bottle. When your bottle or jar has enjoyed a long life, feel free to recycle it and request a new one with your next order.
We don’t waste fossil fuels or create carbon dioxide emissions shipping water. Water is the largest percentage ingredient in most cleaning products. We see no reason why you should pay for water or that the shipping of this water weight should release unnecessary green house gasses. We sell our cleaning products in concentrates, without the water. Just snip them open, pour them into the bottles provided and fill to the top with your own water. Don’t throw the spray bottles away after one use. Order refills and reuse your bottles as long as you can. It saves money and the planet.
